Indian nationals travelling and / or residing in the United States are advised to be mindful of the laws of the United States, including those relating to treatment of young children. There have been cases brought to the attention of the Embassy from time to time, when children of Indian nationals have been taken into the custody of United States authorities (Children / Family Services) on reported grounds of negligence / maltreatment of those children by parent(s).
