Governor Jerry Brown and Ambassador       Mayor Edwin Lee and Ambassador

Ambassador visited California on 23-25 March 2011.  During the visit, she met the Governor of California Jerry Brown and Mayor of San Francisco Edwin M. Lee and discussed bilateral trade, economic and cultural cooperation.

 She also met  Senator Diane Feinstein, the Chancellor of UC Berkeley Robert Birgineau and the Deans of the South Asia and South East Asian faculties, former Secretary of State George Shultz and CEO of HP Leo Apotheker.  She addressed the Indian Cultural Center at Milpitas and the USIBC at Palo Alto.  She met selected Indian CEOs and senior officials of Indian Origin of various companies, in addition to the Editorial Board of San Francisco Chronicle.
