JOB VACANCY

The Embassy of India in Washington DC invites applications for the following position in the Education Wing from the applicants who are either US citizens or permanent residents with valid appropriate visa and valid work permit:

• Research Assistant

Required qualifications and skill set:

• A university degree in international relations, political science or other related area.
• Adequate knowledge of global political issues, current developments and international institutions.
• Adequate experience in application of principles, terminology and analysis of political developments.
• Strong research, analytical and writing skills.
• Proficiency in English language and computer operations.

Work Profile

• Research and preparation of analytical reports relating to global political issues, current developments and international institutions.
• Attend and report on Think Tank policy discussions, Congressional hearings and similar events.
• Assist with Embassy events and visits of delegations as required.
• Any other work assigned from time to time.

 Initial Pay: US$ 3510 p.m. + 75 p.m. (towards medical insurance premium).
