A delegation led by Chairman of the Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) of India, Shri O.P. Garg, is
visiting the U.S. from December 6 to 11, 1997. In the course of their visit, they will meet officials of the US
government, congressmen, as well as other relevant individuals and institutions to discuss the child labour issue
in the context of carpet exports.

The other members of the delegation are:

 The delegation will hold a press conference in the Board Room of the Indian Embassy at 2107, Massachusetts Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20008, at 5 p.m. on December 10, 1997.
